Edinburgh trips draws to a close.

Sadly my trip to Edinburgh is ending too soon.
I came up Sunday night and stayed with my good friend Chris, we've been catching up and had an awesome evening out last night, partly enhanced by running into by Capoeira Scotland comrade, Euan on a bus!

Great to catch up with my old Edinburgh friends, I do miss Auld Reekie, it feels like home.

One of the pluses of visiting Edinburgh was that I got to sit down with Chris and "Geek out" about technology and how it affects people. Which is is cool as we are starting a new web project together all along those lines.

I fly back home this evening so am chilling out for a while before heading to the airport. Sounds like my week is going to completely mad, I am off to London tommorow, so no rest for the wicked eh! On the plus side my Pal has jacked up tickets to a wine testing, just gota get it past the boss! I am also as of this morning, coaching on Saturday for a France/England session prior to a friendly.

3 mile run

Okay so I am back on the road.
Did 3 miles on the treadmill Thursday (supposed to do two...DOH!)
This morning I did 3 miles on the road in 34.09 minutes.

Felt okay, little pain in the shins just above the ankles, probably because the treadmill run was too fast and I havn't had enough sleep. So probably not fully recovered(?)

I ran past one of the ladies from the running club, so they actually believe me when I say I was running :)

Hoping to setup the beginners c25k programme still.

PlanetJudo.com updated

Okay, one of my other sites planetjudo.com has had an update (or three).

I moved away from the code I wrote and have implemented moonmoon, which is a php based equivalent of planetplanet. It works great and planetJudo now has about 30 feeds. More to follow. Strangely, some feeds are not parsing properly I think, namely the google news feed. I think perhaps it is the & in the URLs, I'll have to take a closer look.

I've also added a feedburner link, so people can subscribe.

Let me know what you think.

OpenID seems to be working... maybe?

Okay,
it would appear I am a numpty and OpenID was working it was just me using myLID to test with, rather than a more standard OpenID service.
It would seem that myLID does not provide name and email so it was being rejected by my Blog.

But on the plus side, that means it is probably working.
So if you have a OpenID, please do drop me a comment and let me know that it works (or does not of course).

OpenID on this Blog

I am presently trying to get OpenID working for adding comments to this blog. If I can suss it out I shall use it on www.judocoach.com also I think.

I really like OpenID (and the different varieties there of), I get sick of creating accounts and user names and passwords all over the web and trying to keep track of them all.

So OpenID is great as I can use one ID and Password for multiple sites without basically using the same idea all over the show. OpenID also like that I can use my website as an identifier.

It should be working now, but isn't once I get it sorted I'll open the comments up.

I also plan to edit the theme for this blog to make it fit the ret of the site. Stay tuned.
